Eibar faces Athletic Bilbao

Eibar faces Athletic Bilbao at the Ipurua in a game from the 29th round of La Liga. Are you ready to discuss this fixture with us during our soccer predictions for this week? Let’s get to work.

Eibar kicked off their La Liga season again with a difficult visit to Real Madrid at the capital. Mendilibar’s team didn’t enough to trouble Los Blancos and suffered a 1-3 defeat at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano. Most likely you’re not really surprised by this result, of course. Bigas scored Eibar’s only goal in the game.

More or less, this defeat was a part of Eibar’s plans. The club remains 16th in the league with 27 points, just two points ahead of the 18th Mallorca and the relegation zone. It’s clear that for Mendilibar and his players it’s going to be a real fight for survival in the remaining 10 rounds.

Eibar have just one player missing before the next game. That’s the experienced 35-years old defender Ivan Ramis who is injured.

Athletic Bilbao restarted their season with a draw which left them at 10th place in the league with 38 points. The Basques hosted Atletico Madrid at the San Mames Barria, but the game ended without a winner – 1-1. Iker Muniain opened the score for Athletic, but Diego Costa equalised for Los Colchoneros just two minutes later.

The young striker Asier Villalibre is the only missing player in Athletic’ squad right now. He rarely featured for the team this season having played in just 9 games and scoring one goal.

These are our soccer predictions for this week for the La Liga fixture between Eibar and Athletic Bilbao at the Ipurua. Can Eibar make a more positive performance after their defeat in the capital? It won’t be easy for them against the tough basques, that’s for sure.
