Denmark – England EURO 2024 Preview
Denmark faces England in Frankfurt in a very good match from Group C of the Euro 2024. These two teams faced at the Euro 2021 as well when England beat the Red Dynamite in the 1/2-finals. Let’s see what we can tell you about this clash in our free soccer predictions for today.
Denmark didn’t have the start they hoped for at the Euros. The Scandinavians faced Slovenia and they were favorites, but only got a point after a 1-1 draw. Christian Eriksen scored the opener for the Red Dynamite, but a lucky deflection in the second half robbed Denmark of the three points.
Now Denmark’s manager Kasper Hjulmand must find the reason why his team didn’t win against Slovenia. And he could eventually make some changes in the line-up, too. Players like Dolberg, Kjaer, Bruun Larsen and Damsgaard are options for the manager. Meanwhile Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund remain the biggest threat for the English side.
England didn’t shine much in their first match, but they still did the job – 1-0 against Serbia in Gelsenkirchen. It was Jude Bellingham who scored the winning goal in the first half. Real Madrid’s star was in the right place in the right time, sending the ball past Predrag Rajkovic. In the second half Harry Kane was close to scoring a second one, but Rajkovic saved his shot.
Phil Foden had to hear some criticism for his performance against Serbia, but we expect to see Manchester City’s star in the line-up again. What Gareth Southgate could do is eventually replace Trent Alexander-Arnold for Conor Gallagher in the midfield. Alexander-Arnold also faced some criticism for his play against the Serbians.
That’s the free soccer predictions for today for the Euro 2024 derby between Denmark and England in Frankfurt. A second win here will send England to the 1/8-finals. Let’s see if they will do it.
